Skin care is performed without removing the harness. Use sponge baths and inspect skin around the straps. Do not apply lotions or powders under the harness.
Never adjust the straps yourself. Improper adjustment can cause femoral nerve palsy, skin breakdown, or loss of reduction. Report any signs of swelling, discoloration, or excessive crying to the provider immediately.
