Administer epinephrine 0.3–0.5 mg IM into the anterolateral thigh without delay. The ABC framework dictates that securing the airway takes precedence over secondary measures like antihistamines or corticosteroids.
Do not delay epinephrine to monitor vital signs or give oral medications. In anaphylaxis, airway obstruction can become fatal within minutes, and epinephrine is the definitive, life-saving treatment.
