학습 자료 둘러보기 →The highest priority is administering epinephrine 0.3–0.5 mg IM into the anterolateral thigh. This is the only agent that halts the cascade by reversing vasodilation, laryngeal edema, and bronchospasm.
After epinephrine, place the patient supine with legs elevated to promote venous return. Avoid the Trendelenburg position as it can worsen respiratory distress.
Do not delay epinephrine for IV access or antihistamines. In refractory cases, repeat IM epinephrine every 5–15 minutes. Monitor for rebound symptoms due to its short half-life.
