학습 자료 둘러보기 →The defining feature of hypospadias is a urethral meatus located on the ventral surface of the penis, not at the tip.
The foreskin typically has a hooded appearance, being present dorsally but absent ventrally. Do not confuse this with a completely absent foreskin.
Associated chordee causes a ventral (downward) curvature of the penis, which is distinct from an upward curve.
A dorsal urethral opening indicates epispadias, a different congenital anomaly. Never circumcise an infant with hypospadias, as the foreskin may be needed for surgical repair.
