학습 자료 둘러보기 →The classic triad for intraperitoneal bladder rupture is inability to void, suprapubic distension, and severe lower abdominal pain. This occurs because urine leaks freely into the peritoneal cavity, causing chemical peritonitis.
This injury is a surgical emergency. The mechanism is often a high-speed collision with a full bladder, where a sudden rise in intravesical pressure bursts the dome, the weakest point of the bladder wall.
Do not confuse this with extraperitoneal rupture, where urine is contained in the pelvis. That injury often presents with hematuria and may allow for some voiding via catheter, typically managed conservatively. The inability to void with severe pain is the key differentiator for the intraperitoneal type.
