A finding of cool, pale skin with a weak or absent pulse in the left foot is a medical emergency. This indicates a critical threat to tissue perfusion that can progress to necrosis and limb loss within 6 hours if not immediately reported and intervened upon.
Do not confuse an expected finding like phantom limb pain or serosanguineous drainage with a life- or limb-threatening emergency. The priority is always to protect the remaining limb by identifying and reporting signs of vascular compromise without delay.
