학습 자료 둘러보기 →A dysplastic nevus is clinically identified by the ABCDE criteria: Asymmetry, Border irregularity, Color variegation, Diameter typically >6 mm, and Evolution over time. These features represent underlying architectural disorder and cytological atypia.
The presence of multiple dysplastic nevi significantly increases the risk of melanoma. Management involves total body skin examination and dermoscopy. Lesions with high-grade atypia often require excision with clear margins, while mildly atypical lesions may be monitored.
Do not confuse benign solar lentigo (uniform color, round shape) with dysplastic nevi. A changing mole in an adult is melanoma until proven otherwise. When performing skin assessments, always inspect sun-exposed areas like the back and shoulders, but also check palms, soles, and mucosal surfaces.
