학습 자료 둘러보기 →The exposed bladder mucosa is a direct portal for infection. Immediately after birth, the priority is protecting this delicate tissue from contamination to prevent ascending pyelonephritis and renal scarring.
Cover the exposed bladder with a non-adherent, sterile, moist dressing (e.g., saline-soaked gauze covered with plastic wrap) to maintain moisture and create a physical barrier against fecal contamination. Change the dressing frequently.
Never use petroleum-based gauze or dry dressings directly on the mucosa, as they can damage the tissue and leave fibers. Avoid placing a diaper directly over the exposed bladder to prevent friction and gross contamination.
