학습 자료 둘러보기 →The exposed bladder mucosa must be handled as a sterile site immediately after birth. Cover the defect with a non-adherent, sterile, saline-soaked dressing and a loose plastic wrap to maintain moisture and create a physical barrier against pathogens.
Monitor for signs of infection every 1-2 hours. Assess for erythema, purulent drainage, foul odor, or temperature instability. Any change in the mucosal color or integrity from baseline requires immediate escalation.
Never place a dry dressing or diaper directly on the exposed mucosa, as this can cause tissue desiccation, abrasion, and bleeding. Avoid umbilical cord clamps or ties that may rub against the defect.
