Instruct the client to keep the external processor at least 6 inches (15 cm) away from sources of electromagnetic interference, including metal detectors, security screening arches, and large stereo speakers.
If an MRI is medically necessary, the implant must be explicitly identified as MRI-conditional, not MRI-safe. Specific protocols, including head bandaging to prevent magnet displacement, are required under strict radiologist supervision.
