Option 4 (Provide emotional support regarding body image changes) addresses the psychosocial impact of surgery. Splenectomy does not typically cause visible body image changes, but the patient may have concerns about surgical scars or long-term immune function. While important, emotional support is a psychosocial need that is prioritized only after physiological safety and physical needs are stabilized.
