학습 자료 둘러보기 →The hallmark of rubella is a fine, pink, maculopapular rash that appears first on the face and spreads rapidly downward to the trunk and extremities (centrifugal spread). This progression typically occurs within 24 hours.
Prodromal symptoms in children are often mild, including low-grade fever and malaise. The rash may be the first noticeable sign. Differentiate from measles, which presents with high fever, the three Cs (cough, coryza, conjunctivitis), and pathognomonic Koplik spots.
Rubella is a teratogenic virus. Ensure strict isolation from pregnant women. Assess for tender lymphadenopathy, particularly in the postauricular and occipital regions, a key associated finding.
