- Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD): light, specific superficial technique to redirect lymph toward functioning nodes/quadrants.도수림프배출(MLD): 기능하는 림프절/사분면으로 림프를 유도하는 가볍고 표재적인 특정 기법.

Clinical point / 실전 포인트
MLD uses light pressure and clears proximal/central regions before distal ones so drainage pathways are open; deep, heavy massage is not the technique for lymphedema.
MLD는 가벼운 압력을 쓰고 원위부보다 근위/중심부를 먼저 비워 배출 경로를 연다. 깊고 강한 마사지는 림프부종의 기법이 아니다.

Pitfall / 함정주의
Precautions are condition- and technique-specific; for example, active infection or acute DVT are cautions to MLD/compression, but a remote cancer history alone does not universally forbid all lymphedema care — decisions are individualized with the medical team.
주의는 상태·기법별이다 — 예컨대 급성 감염·급성 DVT는 MLD·압박의 주의 대상이지만, 오래전 암 병력만으로 모든 림프부종 관리가 일률적으로 금지되지는 않으며 의료팀과 개별 판단한다.
