Pitfall / 함정주의 "Epicondylitis" implies inflammation, but chronic cases are often tendinopathy/degeneration rather than acute inflammation — this affects why load management (not just rest/anti-inflammatories) matters. "상과염"은 염증을 함의하지만 만성 사례는 급성 염증보다 건병증/퇴행인 경우가 많다 — 그래서 단순 휴식·소염보다 부하 관리가 중요하다.

3. Wrist & Hand / 손목·수부

Learning goal / 학습목표 Recognize carpal tunnel syndrome features and confirmatory tests, and link the median-nerve distribution. 수근관 증후군의 특징과 확인 검사를 인식하고 정중신경 분포와 연결한다.

Carpal tunnel syndrome compresses the median nerve at the wrist: paresthesia/pain in the thumb, index, middle, and radial half of the ring finger, often worse at night, with possible thenar weakness/atrophy in chronic cases.

수근관 증후군은 손목에서 정중신경을 압박한다 — 엄지·검지·중지와 약지 요측 절반의 감각이상·통증, 야간 악화가 흔하고 만성에서는 무지구 약화·위축이 나타날 수 있다.
